What’s the Zoom Whitening Process Like?
The entire Zoom whitening process is completed in under an hour, though it’s advisable to have a standard dental cleaning beforehand. Initially, a brief setup is done to shield the lips and gums, which leaves only the teeth exposed. The whitening agent, a Zoom hydrogen peroxide gel, is then administered. It works in tandem with the Zoom light to infiltrate the teeth and dissolve any stains or discoloration. The gel is left on the teeth for 15 minutes with the light active, during which patients are free to unwind and engage in activities like watching television or listening to music.
This application is repeated in three 15-minute intervals with light activation, summing up to a 45-minute session. Those with a pronounced gag reflex or who experience anxiety might find the procedure challenging. To conclude, a fluoride paste-gel is applied to minimize tooth sensitivity post-treatment.

He practiced mainly in Calgary, and then moved to Vancouver to be close with his family. As our paths crossed, Dr. Kent has decided to join our team and move to the wonderful city of Vaughan. Dr. Kent believes in comprehensive treatment. He believes in placing priority on each patient’s goals, values, and concerns. He strives to educate and motivate his patients on how to maximize their oral health. Dr. Kent believes in treating each patient individually and working together to come up with mutual goals to address their concerns.
